Gaga by Max Abadian: I loved this shoot and decided to use it as a sort of Part Two/revisit to the Mint Blonde design that I did awhile back. Here’s another closeup for more detail!

Colors & Materials Used: Base of Nude Now (Sally Hansen Salon), Tart Deco (Essie) tips and accent nail, with white freehand lace designs. A couple extra inclusions are a glitter coat over the lace of I Love The Holidays! (OPI), Lighten Up (L’Oreal Jet Set) pearl shimmer over accent nail tip, and an added glass rhinestone.

So, originally this was supposed to be a photo tutorial based on the Mint Blonde manicure, but the photos of the various steps turned out so starkly different in lighting over the days they were taken, that I decided to scrap posting those in favor of just posting this final product and re-doing the tutorial using another Gaga look (she does wear a lot of lace after all and I think this might be great in black over nude, anyway!) So! For those of you who were waiting for it, just hang tight!

I’ve been actively doing nail art for years and I’ve just now mastered the needle drag technique! I don’t know what I was doing wrong before, but suddenly I got the hang of it while playing around with this manicure. I’m so excited!

Colors are OPI Funky Dunkey, Love & Beauty Lavender, OPI DS Temptation, and Color Club Pucci-licious.
